The mill of Lalheue is a historical place of the Middle Ages, described and translated by Georges Duby, historian of the Middle Ages.
After the year 1000, three new hamlets were founded and expanded around the Oratoires Sylvestres: Lalheue, whose core was a very old Gallo-Roman estate, La Chapelle de Bragny and finally, in 1064, La Charmée.
These new lands divided the forest of Bragny into large areas.
Located south of Chalon-sur-Saône, the Natura 2000 site Saône Grosne corresponds to a vast flood zone.
This alluvial site marked by the still important presence of natural meadows has a great ecological wealth mainly dependent on regular floods and agricultural practices.
